Your role as a key team member will involve collaborating with our esteemed Owner & Principal Designer, Jasmine Galle, to bring dreams to life. When creating full-set construction documents, your keen eye for detail will ensure precision and accuracy in all our projects. Your ability to create stunning 3D renderings will serve as the bridge between imagination and reality for our clients. Additionally, as our Drafting Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work closely with Jasmine during and after initial site surveys, offering invaluable insights into potential construction challenges and opportunities. Your creativity will shine as you enhance our renderings and maintain our signature aesthetic, ensuring our drawings proudly bear the Sage & Soul Interiors logo.

Drafting Specialist
- Minimum of (2) or more years of paid professional experience in drafting using Chief Architect 15 & 16 or similar CAD software and possess proficiency in Chief Architect (X15 & X16) for file sharing.
- Support Owner & Principal Designer in creating a full-set of construction documents for permitting (remodels + additions), and
- Create 3D renderings and virtual walk throughs for client visualization a plus.
- Understanding of building codes and safety regulations in construction.
- Ensure timely updates of construction documents in accordance with site specifications and maintain aesthetic standards with company logo branding.
- (Locals Only) Participate in the initial site survey to identify potential construction issues or roadblocks and ensure all appropriate conditions are represented.
- Act as a sounding board for Jasmine and provide design suggestions aligned with construction standards.
- Improve upon existing renderings shared with clients, preferably with knowledge of rendering software like Chief Architect X16 or Lumion.
- Experience in drawing kitchen and bath designs for cabinetry, building + furniture space planning, demo plans, lighting plans, elevations, proper dimensioning, etc.
- Comfortable drafting small scale remodeling projects and full-scale home renovations, additions, ADU's and new construction.
- Preference for local candidates who can perform on-site measurements and attend in-person meetings regularly. Experience in measuring real-world job sites is a plus.
- Strong organizational awareness skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented with a positive personality.
- Future-oriented mindset to minimize oversights in the design process, and ensure a seamless a construction experience.
- Enjoy collaboration with a lead designer in project design direction.
- Experience or certification as an architectural drafter with construction experience is preferred.
- Self-motivated, efficient, and honest.
- Excellent communication skills for managing project expectations and milestones collaboratively.
- Years of experience in the field and the confidence to lead and support the design team.
- Willingness to assist in other design-related tasks if required.
COMPENSATION:
- Contract position.
- Ideal starting range of $25-35 / hour, DOE.
